Testimonials

The Fastenal co-op program gave me the opportunity to understand the business from the ground-up while building a strong foundation for a career. The rotations gave me excellent insight as to what type of career I want post-graduation that ultimately led me to my current full-time position. I am so grateful for all the opportunities the Fastenal provides, and the CO-OP program really helped connect me to those opportunities

As a Business Administration Major with a Management Minor, I began in the Winona DC, it was there I learned how Fastenal operates at the hub level, which has helped tremendously as I transitioned into different roles. From there I went into Product Development, and there I learned how we work with our suppliers and really got to know our products. The next move was into Purchasing/Supply Chain where I learned about offering the best service by having items in stock while balancing our inventory goals. Upon graduation, I went full-time as a Supply Chain Analyst in purchasing. The great thing about Fastenal is the opportunities it presents. I was able to grow my knowledge and become a leader in the company as the world’s supply chain changed through the pandemic. One thing that is always constant about Fastenal, is change. Currently, I work with a team trying to navigate challenges of this evolving supply chain as we look to grow the business in this environment.

The 9-month rotations offer the perfect amount of exposure to the department that you choose to go into. For me, my major is Human Resources and Fastenal has helped me gain a lot of insight within HR and I learn something new every day. My favorite thing is how much it feels like my work family. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful when I start a new rotation.

The co-op program is a neat internship opportunity where every 9 months you get to experience a new corporate department. I have never heard of an internship that encourages their employees to see multiple departments, which makes this such a special opportunity. My major is Business Administration, I am not sure where I want to go with my degree quite yet. This internship gives me the opportunity to experience many corporate departments. I am looking forward to continuing to meet more people within the company, and working with Fastenal from multiple angles.
